This document presents the proceedings of the 7th Forum on Best Teaching Practices at Zamorano University (2025), aimed at reflecting on educational innovation, active learning, and the strengthening of teaching in higher education. Through various pedagogical experiences shared by faculty members from diverse fields, the proceedings highlight innovative, student-centered practices focused on promoting meaningful learning, critical thinking, and holistic development. The experiences presented demonstrate the use of active methodologies, technological resources, and teaching strategies that foster participation, autonomy, and the practical application of knowledge. The document also highlights initiatives related to project-based learning, research, the use of digital tools, and the incorporation of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence to support the educational process. In addition, the document emphasizes the importance of strengthening students’ communicative, scientific, technological, and ethical competencies through practices that integrate theory and practice in real-world contexts. Likewise, it reflects faculty commitment to continuous improvement, pedagogical creativity, and adaptation to the current challenges of higher education. Overall, the best practices presented demonstrate how educational innovation and a humanistic approach help transform the teaching-and-learning experience, strengthening academic quality and promoting a more participatory, relevant, and competency-based university education tailored to today’s context.
