Abstract

This study analyzes data on bird observations from 2011 to 2025 published on eBird, a citizen science platform, for Zamorano University’s extensive campus in the Yeguare Valley, Honduras. The objective was to create an educational resource on local birds for the benefit of the academic and agricultural community in the Yeguare Valley, to increase environmental awareness and interest in biodiversity conservation. The 30 most common species are presented, using as criteria their continuous presence throughout the year and a measure of their relative abundance. This work offers an introduction to the most common birds on campus.
