Abstract

Keynote developed on the occasion of the inauguration of the "Conference Room Jorge Sahade" Central American Astronomical Observatory of Suyapa National Autonomous University of Honduras, on November 22, 2000, coinciding with the anniversary of the birth of José Cecilio del Honduran wise VALLEY. The event was chaired by the Chancellor of the UNAH, Dr. Ana Belén Rodríguez Castillo, the System Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Margarita Oseguera de Ochoa, the Ambassador of Argentina in Honduras, Dr. Juan Pena and the Director of the central astronomical Observatory of Suyapa, Dr. Maria Cristina Pineda de Carias, was also attended by members of the faculty, staff and students of this astronomical center.
