The Torreón Universitario Magazine is a representation of the generation of knowledge, in constant search for the solution of its problems in the current context, publishing findings from the research of teachers at UNAN-Managua and other educational institutions.

The university is immersed in a society marked by the great changes and advances in knowledge and its requirements, which implies the use of new information and communication technologies, as well as new demands in order to promote research according to the new needs. As a result, the articles published in this magazine aim to build knowledge based on their authors and their own contexts, who are the ones who legitimize and determine the issues that need to be analyzed, reflected on and criticized.

In this order of ideas, the magazine presents articles from different disciplines, with the themes of education and water studies prevailing in this issue. These articles have met the journal's editorial requirements, which include quality criteria, evaluations and expert reviews; all this in order to present the community an original and updated production of the research, promoting the visualization and exchange of knowledge, given that the journal represents documentary evidence of the work of academics in the Spanish and English languages.

In the first article "Knowledge Management in the XXI century" the author guides us to return to the theory of the change of times as a critical way to unravel the quo vadis of educational training, promoting an educational proposal of help in the present, reflecting on around the direction we are going and where we want to go in terms of vocational training.

The second article entitled “Simulation as a didactic strategy in teacher training practices. Experience in the Social Sciences career ”is a process of pedagogical reflection that aimed to use simulation as a didactic strategy to develop pedagogical competences in teachers in training in the area of social sciences in the subject Specialization Practices of the Social Sciences career.

In the case of the third article “Syndrome of care work stress in teachers of the UNAN-Managua, FAREM-Carazo, in the second semester 2019” is a work carried out by the winners of the JUDC in the FAREM-Carazo, which consists of a study on the stress levels suffered by the teachers of this Faculty, including a theoretical analysis and a standardized instrument that measures the different dimensions where stress manifests itself in an individual.

The fourth article with the title "State of the art: reflective learning in initial training with students of Professional Training Practices in the English career" the author explains why reflective processes allow solving classroom work situations, which is built and transformed during professional training practices relating reflective learning, initial training of the student with the role of pedagogical practices (as a teacher in training, tutor or guide).

The fifth article in this publication is entitled “Evaluation of the impact of domestic and semi-industrial wastewater on the physical-chemical quality of the Chiquito River, León, in the period from May 2016 to January 2017” in which the authors detail the process of its investigation as well as its conclusions; for its part, the sixth article "Removal of lead in aqueous solution using cryogels based on polyacrylamide as adsorbent: study of equilibrium in batch mode", aimed to remove lead ions (Pb2+) present in aqueous solutions by using macropores gel of polyacrylamine (MPAAG) called cryogel, as adsorbent material; the seventh article "Human hair to assess exposure to arsenic in users of contaminated water from the La Fuente community in, La Paz Centro, León", an evaluation of the arsenic exposure in human hair of the residents of that locality was made; concluding the publication with the article “Dynamics of land cover in Sub-basin III of the South Basin of Lake Managua, Nicaragua”, it is an evaluation of the dynamics through Markovian transition probabilities using Landsat satellite images.

It is hoped that this publication will be very useful for readers of the Torreón Universitario Magazine and that it will encourage them to research and publish their results, promoting the generation of knowledge.
