Abstract

This argumentative essay examines the use of technology as a key factor in higher education as it enhances learning and develops students’ skills. The main objective is to propose a workshop structure on the use and management of Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs and applications in the Math Lab I component, as well as Canva and Google Classroom, as a resource used by students to present their activities. The results show that students have basic knowledge in this area, but lack the necessary skills and orientation to apply technology for educational purposes. The main challenges are the lack of access to personal computers and active methodologies, which limits the development of their digital competencies. As a solution, we offer the design of workshops aimed at developing the technological skills of the protagonists, which contributes to their professional growth and preparation for educational challenges directly in the skills for their future profession.
