The following paper focuses on the Escuela Normal de Varones founded in Comayagüela, Honduras, in 1906 and moved to Tegucigalpa in 1922. The following study explores its role in teacher training during that period, concentrating on the institutional changes that occurred from 1906 to 1924. The paper examines the Codes of Public Instruction and their influence on the modernization and standardization of teacher training in Honduras. The article offers a discussion on aspects of historical and educational importance in the national context of this defunct institution.
